Club CommitteePresident - Mark McKayMark is the current President of Vision and has been a member of the club since 2008. He is a qualified personal trainer and CHEK Level 1 Holistic Lifestyle Coach. Mark has been training and racing in the sport for over 5 years. He has completed 5 Noosa Tri's, 4 Mooloolaba Tri's and the Gold Coast Half Ironman. Mark's role in the club is to oversee all of the functions of the committee and ensure the smooth operation of the Vision Tri club. Vice President - Michael SanguinetiJoining Vision has been one of those lucky accidents for me, as simple as being in the right spot at the right time. I found our Tri squad (or they found me) out of breath at the deep end of the QUT pool. As a below average swimmer who struggled to swim further than 50 meters it made so much sense to be coached at swimming and cross train with a great bunch, so I joined up and haven't looked back since. A few years have passed now and although I have limited racing experience the whole concept of run/ride/swim training has become my favourite past time and it’s a simple as getting out of bed, tuning up to training and putting in your best effort. There have been peaks and troughs, but the best part of being in Vision is if you find yourself in a slump the support you receive makes your comeback much easier. The benefits have been endless for me, with my children, partner, coach and club mates being my major source of inspiration and encouragement. Having my daughter Emma hot on my heels and training along side me is also a great motivator. My training goal is simple and realistic, just to be as fit as I can be at 50. The count down is on for 2010 when I will set my new goal to be fit for life. I have certainly discovered a fountain of youth that turns age into just a number. Club Treasurer - Nat McKayTraining with Vision since March 2008. First Olympic distance – March 2009 (now to improve my time!) Vision Tri Club has now become the honeymoon destination for my husband and I. Completing my first Olympic triathlon in March 2009 has spurred me on to start riding my bum off. Coach Cath has made excellent gains with my swim technique…so she keeps telling me…now its onto the bike. My role within the club apart from being an athlete is now club treasurer. Any questions in relation to fees, memberships, club financials etc can be directed my way….I am an accountant in my spare time :) Club Secretary - Dan RogersWell the passion for triathlon had to start otherwise I wouldn’t have ever seen my now wife. Selling the R1 motorcycle for a Cannondale was a very hard day…but now I get to be with my wife (she told me to write that!). Being involved in Vision Tri Club and the great athletes has been a highlight to the training regime…when I actually train !! Since my wife is the Head Coach and we have two young snappers it means that I am now labelled the ‘daddy sitter’ along with the club secretary. This has a nice ring to it don’t you think? For any matters that need to be sent out to athletes or forwarded onto the coach This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Sponsorship Co-ordinator - Adele ButlerMy favourite part to the triathlon is the swim leg. Being involved in the Vision Tri Club environment has been awesome. It has given me the opportunity to meet new people, be coached by an excellent coach and race well. This season my main achievement will be consistency in training and racing. Being a full time uni student, working alongside strength and conditioning coaches, and lecturing for Triathlon Queensland has not left much time for ME…this year it is about my racing, my training and of course my role as sponsorship coordinator…come and meet the Vision Team.
