On Friday 28th May I’m hitting the road on a 560 kilometre cycle over three days to raise funds for cancer research. I’ll be one of 59 cyclists and 10 road crew to tackle the inaugural Bottlemart 2010 Midi-Smiddy Challenge.

The Challenge commemorates the life of physiotherapist, and keen triathlete, Adam Smiddy who passed away to an aggressive cancer aged only 26.

Our team is aiming to raise $100,000 through the Midi-Smiddy and contribute to Smiling for Smiddy’s goal of raising $750,000 through its various events in 2010.

The majority of the funds will be donated to the Mater Foundation to support world-class research into melanoma drug trials, prostate cancer and complementary therapies to improve the quality of life for cancer patients.

I’m up for the Challenge and I hope you can get behind this great cause by donating in support of my cycle. You can donate online through my fundraising page at
http://www.everydayhero.com.au/annatovey

I really appreciate all donations received, no matter how small.  Every single dollar helps.

Please share this page with your friends and family, together we really can make a difference!

Read more about the Midi-Smiddy Challenge on the Smiling for Smiddy website.

Many thanks!

Anna
