Hot and Cold in Canberra!  Canberra’s changeable weather made conditions challenging for the ACT triathlon.

The juniors raced in 38 degree heat on the Saturday afternoon and we got to witness Cath in her very professional triathlon Queensland coach role!

Race day Sunday morning was a cold windy one and while the supporters stood there shivering and comparing goose bumps, the vision triathletes got out there and did some cracking times. Mark completed the sprint distance telling tales of big hills on the supposedly flat run. It wasn’t until James and Michael completed the Olympic distance course that we actually believed those hills were as big as Mark had been telling us!!

Essie completed the Olympic distance course in a great time.

All in all it was a great weekend for triathletes and supporters alike. It would be great to get a few more people from vision there next year and get those smiley faces splashed across our capital!
