Last Sunday, the Vision boys and girls headed over to Raby Bay for the sixth race in the QTS Series. The elites were also invited to race in a triple-sprint event in which they raced 3 separate sprint races over the space of 2 hours. Our own Campbell Schmidt raced well to place 9th against a strong field with the likes of Courtney Atkinson and James Seear. Tsunami warnings on the coast following the earthquake in Chilli meant that last minute changes saw the QTS race becoming a duathlon, with the swim replaced by a second run. Although disappointed, the athletes were confident that the late change would not throw them and all of our Vision members posted great times, competing late on a hot day with less than ideal circumstances. Congratulations go out to Daniel Edey who came 1st in the 16-19 category, the Macnicol brothers Ben and Ryan who both placed 3rd in the enticer event and to Samantha Keogh and Toby Schmidt who both placed in the top 10 in their races.
