| After a couple of half hearted goes at enticers I set my sights on Mooloolabar and quickly realised I needed some help to train properly. I knew Helen & James so came along with them. | |
| I love that people of all shapes, sizes & ages and abilities get out there and give it a go. The atmosphere at races is amazing, everyone is buzzing, complete strangers cheer you on - the whole thing just makes you feel good about yourself. | |
| Tough one. I think I like olympic best because they are the most popular and the big races with the atmosphere are usually olympic. But I have been finding out that I seem to do a bit better at sprint. | |
| Mooloolaba 2011. I was really hoping to break a personal barrier and missed the mark by more than I would have liked and was expecting. It was heart breaking to not reach that goal. Look out 2012! | |
| I like the swim because it is my best leg, but I am starting to really enjoy running. | |
| Be consistent in your training. Even if you can't give 100%, still turn up and do something. It will help keep you on track. | |
| Missing the swim start Gatorade race 6 at Raby Bay. We (Helen and I ) were there, but a bit too busy talking and missed our start! Ooops! | |
| STILL haven't cracked the sub 3hrs for an olympic...yet.
And still have the goal to run in a crop top (no shirt!) |
|
| Mooloolaba 2010, missed that under 3 hr goal by 5 seconds!!!
Completed Hell of The West half ironman 2011. |
|
| I once got most improved in my Gaelic Football team | |
| My brother. He hasn’t let an accident and resulting disability get in the way of achieving his goals in triathlon. For that matter, any athlete in any sport who competes with a disability is pretty amazing in my books. | |
