A friend who is in the club invited me along.
I was sick of doing Marathons and wanted to try something different.
Olympic distance (1.5km swim, 40km ride, 10km run), sprints are over too quickly and the longer events are something you just hope to finish.
Nissan-BRW Corporate Tri, because I drank too much on the ride and then had to run with a full stomach and I hadn’t done any speed training for the shorter distance.
Run, because its almost over.
What, do I look like a fool to you? I’ll keep that to myself.
Mooloolaba Tri, with some sprint distances for practice.
I was happiest with Mooloolaba 2009, getting 2 hours 35 mins – 17 mins faster than 2008.
Everyone in the club, to do all that training and still enjoy turning up every week is inspiring.
